Car Parking

Parking Image.jpg

There are two car parking options close to the The Beach House. There's free parking at Rua Bombeiros Voluntarios de Lagos which is about 250 yards from the house, and there is paid parking underneath the Pro Putting Garden on Rua Jose Afonso 23 (see image above for directions).

Getting Around & Transfers

Car Rentals

All of the major car hire firms are based at Faro Airport. We prefer to use a local company called Luz Cars, which can be booked online. They offer competitive rates and have an office in Lagos. This means you can drop your car there after picking it up at the airport without any additional charge, or, if you feel like doing a few day trips here and there you can pick up a car up in Lagos itself.

Uber

Uber operates a very efficient round the clock service in Lagos, and you can get to most places in and around the city for less than €5. It is also a little cheaper to use Uber to go to/from Faro Airport, than to book an Airport Transfer.

Airport Transfers

The company we use and have found to be very reliable is called AZEVEDO'S BY ROADS. They can be reached via Whatsapp on +351 931 495 855. They typically charge €65 to €70 for a one-way trip from Faro Airport to The Beach House and vice versa.

Other Small Details

Payments

Most places accept card and contactless payment, but you will still need cash for more traditional shops and restaurants that have a 'No Multibanco' sign, or if you are spending under €10.

Electric Sockets

You will need a Type F adapter in Portugal to charge your devices.
